I visited my dear friend Stefanie, who moved to the beautiful city of London. It was a fantastic weekend, full of amazing people, food, street art, shopping and music. *Sigh*, do I love Shoreditch. The city was so beautiful, I made over 300 pictures. A first selection in high contrast monochrome.

 

 

Antiques and stuff

Amsterdam North is an upcoming neighborhood, where the proximity of the NDSM wharf as “center for underground culture in Amsterdam” attracts a lot of young entrepreneurs which results in some very good, and very hidden, shops.

Last week, after visiting the jawdropping new filmmuseum Eye, I visited this shop called “Van Dijk & Co”. “Wholesale and retail in antiques and stuff”, is their pragmatic and funny description. Oh men, I wish I already owned my own house. I know where to go in a few years, hopefully Van Dijk & Co (and their lovely neighbor Neef Louis) is still quietly hidden for the lonely planet mass by then…
