Paris, Je 'Taime

Last Thursday, I went to Paris for just one day. Although the trip in the touringcar was killing, Paris was so worth it. Paris and New York are my two favourite cities. Next time, I will show you my experiences in New York. For now: enjoy Paris!

Fake fur waistcoat

I just bough this amazing fake fur waistcoat, I am totally in love with it. However, now the real job begins: how to combine it? I like to take inspiration of Olivia Palermo for this one. She wears waistcoats of fur a lot and mixes it in very different manners.

Look 1: combined with dark colors but an edgy print

Look 2: Color blocking, combine the natural colors of the waistcoat with a white blouse and a coral red skirt.

Look 3: All in black, simple, clean and with some ballerina's to ease the leather look pants

Toos & Roos

Yesterday I was at this cute little lunchroom at the Herengracht in Amsterdam, called Toos & Roos. They have a little terrace where we could enjoy the beautiful sunny day. The menu was great with sandwiches, soups, salads and quiche. However, we were too tempted with the tapas menu. The menu included olives, chorizo, manchego cheese, Italian ham and grilled vegetables. We combined it with bread and hummus and it was delicious. Although we were pretty stuffed after that, we could not resist the sticky toffee pie. That was like heaven! A big, soft chocolate pie with warm toffee sauce on it. It was a great day!

Fabergé Home Interiors

Last week, I was visiting my parents and I went to this amazing interior design shop, called Fabergé. The shop has 15 different style rooms. I loved the natural colors and the combination of romantic furniture with modern shaped items. Although it is trendy, it also is timeless which is a plus. My favourite part of the shop? The beautiful chandeliers! Check their website out at Fabergé.

ABC of Style by Elsevier

The newsmagazine Elsevier has a Style guide named ABC of Style which is a guide to being a classical and representative men or woman. It tells you all about dress codes, the right make-up with the dress code, how to wear your perfume in the right manner or the phenomenon "It bag".
There are two different kinds of Style Guides, one for men and one for women. I like it because it is nicely written and it involves adorable drawings of, for instance, the "It bag". A good guide through a working life in where you always need to be representative! You can order the guide right here.
