Interior Design Fair Part Two

As promised yesterday, I finally found the time today to explore the entire design fair and make some pictures. A total of four halls were filled up with different kinds of exhibitions, varying from large brands to small designer labels. I took pictures of the items, interiors and designs I loved most. Hereby my compilation.

Interior design fair

This week the annual Interior Design Fair is taking place in the Amsterdam Rai again. I was asked by my former employer from De Bakkerswinkel to work on the fair this week. At de Bakkerswinkel (the Bakery), we serve breakfast, lunch and high tea in a typical English, but very stylish, surrounding ( check us out at http://www.debakkerswinkel.com/).  At the Interior Design Fair, we are part of an exhibition from the Dutch living magazine Eigen Huis & Interieur.  The exhibition was designed by Jelle Hekstra from Strand NL, a Dutch design and interior company. I love the inspiring people who visit the fair or exhibit their own creative products, from furniture to jewelry and even clothes (I actually don't see the direct link between clothes and Interior Design, but I don't complain!). A first impression of the fair under here, more pictures will follow!
The bread we sell at De Bakkerswinkel is from sourdough and very heavy, all the breads weigh one kilo each! The bread is from the Vlaamsch Broodhuys

A Girl's Best Friend

Do you recognize this? You get up in the morning, eat your breakfast and you take a shower. When you are all dressed up, you decided to wear some nice earrings and maybe 3 or 4 (oke, 5) bracelets. But then… you’ll grab your jewellery box. You open it… A huge mess in front of you AND you have to leave in 1 minute. How can you find matching and nice looking earrings in 60 seconds? Believe me… that is a difficult, no impossible task :-).

But no worries, here is the solution: An ‘earring-rack’ and a ‘toilet paper holder’ (!). (See pictures). You can find the earring-rack in any jewellery-shop and the ‘toilet paper holder’ in any given shop that sells household articles (e.g., Xenos, Blokker).

Shoes for fall

Despite the fact that I am out of money, I have already made this entire shoe list for this fall. My favourites are these, however, I prefer them in black (picture was not available in black, because they are temporarily out of stock :( ).

But I find it hard to choose between these heels above and the following two pair of wedges. Also, I can't decide whether I like the black or brown wedges more, what do you think?

However, next to some wedges or ankle boots, I really love these pumps of the Zara. Look at the shiny heel, adorable! But I hate it that they don't have a hidden plateau in it.. It always makes the walking part much easier..

And next to the ankle boots and pumps, I love these flat boots. These are good for work

And these two I love two wear on my relaxing days in spare time. Seems that leopard is still in fashion this fall! And the blue ones match my boho style, I love the edgy blue color and the leather laces.

So, which shoes do you like the most?

Magazines

Magazines are all over my place. Just like with my newspaper, I always have a few issues I still need to catch up with. I am blessed with having friend working in the magazine business and other friends with the same love for fashion magazines as I do, this way we can swop magazines when we are done with reading (or...looking at pictures). My favourite Dutch magazine is Jackie.

However, I read glamour, Marie Claire and Elle as well for instance. Look at the piles I still have to get through! Fortunately .. :)

When I'm done with them, I can't get it over my heart to throw them in the bin. Instead, I use this large basket to collect them.

Nude

This is one of my favourite dresses. I like the plissé fabric and it's easy because you never have to iron it. It's from h&m, last season but I believe they sell just the same this season again and they have them in different colors.
I often combine the dress with some cowboy boots to make the look a bit more edgy. However, I could also combine the dress with these matching colored nude pumps from Zara. Unfortunately I can't walk on them...

Just some romantic inspiration.

Mi Moneda necklace

I just love this cute coin necklace which at the same time is a medallion. In the front you see baby feet and on the back it says ' Ti Amo, I Love You, Tequiero, J'taime'. It's from the brand Mi Moneda and they have all different kinds of text and images, like a four-leaf clover or the text 'Carpe Diem'.

Boho ears

Look at these beautiful earrings that my brother's girlfriend was wearing today. Very nice how the feather is combined with the golden beadies. Boho!

Gina Tricot & Bik Bok

Gina Tricot
Sanne just emailed me to say I had to check out these two Scandinavian brands: Gina Tricot and Bik Bok. I like the knitted American flag sweater from Gina Tricot and the snake dessin blouse from Bik Bok.

Biker Boots

These are my new bikerboots, I bought them at this department store called V&D, which has transformed in a pretty nice store thanks to the brands Jane Norman, New Look and Mango.
